Tout Jour Prest (ze-shou-prie)

Always be ready. “…You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” James 4:14, ESV. Prepare yourself—and your loved ones—for the unexpected by asking me to create a custom estate plan that will maintain the quality of the lives of you and your loved ones when you cannot be there to provide for them.

The Why

Thinking about death or being so sick that you cannot take care of yourself can be a very depressing or frightening thing to think about. My goal as your estate planning attorney is to encourage you about your future—yes, including your death and incapacity—by telling you how death can lose its “sting” (1 Corinthians 15:50-56, ESV) and by drafting an estate plan that instructs other people to do what needs to be done—physically and financially—to make sure that you and your loved ones are able to do as much of what you want to do as possible for as long as possible. If you don’t draft an estate plan, the government will make these decisions not based on your unique circumstances but based on what they think that the average person would want or should have.
